What distances do you have?

We have a marathon, a Charity Half Marathon, the LA Big 5K on Saturday, and a Kids Run on Saturday.

Will the Course be the Stadium to the Stars again?

Yes, the plan is for the course to be largely, if not exactly, the same as 2021.

What is the Charity Half Marathon?

The Charity Half Marathon is a half marathon within the Los Angeles Marathon where everyone participating is giving back! It is a unique event that has the intimate feel of a close-knit nonprofit community while enjoying the high energy and support of one of the largest marathons in the country. This event is exclusive to participants who are run for charity and fundraising as part of TMF or fundraising for an Official Nonprofit Partner. The race starts at the marathon start line at 8:15am and runs half of the marathon course finishing in Century City at the marathon Finish Line.

What is the deadline for corral placement?

Corral placement deadline is January 31, 2023.

When is the Health & Fitness Expo?

The 2024 Health & Fitness Expo will be March 15 - 16, 2024.

When do I pick up my bib?

All participants must pick up their own bib at the Health & Fitness Expo. There is no race day bib pick up without purchasing Start Line Hospitality.

When will the registration price increase?

The registration price increases as we get closer to the marathon.

Will you have pacers at the Marathon?

Yes! We will have pace groups from the Los Angeles Road Runners for the following finish times: 3:00; 3:10; 3:20; 3:30; 3:40; 3:50; 4:00; 4:10; 4:20; 4:30; 4:40; 4:50; 5:00; 5:15; 5:30; 5:45; 6:00; 6:15; 6:30

If I sign up and them an unable to participate, can I be refunded or defer my registration?

Per our policy there is no refund, transfer, or deferral policy and we are not able to refund registration fees.

Can I defer my entry?

No. There will be no deferrals for anyone who registers for the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon. The lenient policies and exceptions that were made in 2021 due to the pandemic will not apply for any 2022 registrations.

Can I transfer my registration to a family member/friend?

No. Per our no refund, transfer, or deferral policy, we do not allow the transfer of race registrations from one participant to another.

If I signed up for each event individually, am I still qualified for the bonus medal Challenges like Conquer LA?

Yes! As long as participants use the same email address to register for each event, they will be manually pooled into the Challenges they qualify for.

What safety protools will be taken/implemented?

Health and safety is always our top priority. In cooperation with the Los Angeles County Board of Health and the updated mega event guidelines, there is no proof of vaccine or negative covid test needed to participate. Masks are recommended at all times.

Do you have runner tracking?

My finishing time/bib number is not posted, how can that be fixed?

Please email results@spectrumtiming.com with your registered name, bib number, and request and our timing company for review.

Will there be Spanish-speaking staff onsite?

Yes, the LA Marathon will have Spanish-speaking staff onsite to assist runners and guests.

What is your sustainability plan?

It takes a great deal of hard work and planning to produce a sustainable event for over 15,000 athletes, but the Los Angeles Marathon is committed to taking steps necessary to promote greater environmental responsibility by implementing green initiatives that reduce waste, promote sustainable and responsible consumption, and support the local community in Los Angeles.

Virtual Participation FAQ

Will you have a Virtual option at the 2023 Los Angeles Marathon?

At this time we do not have Virtual participation for the 2023 Marathon. We will make an announcement via email, social, and on our website if this changes.

Are you able to complete the event virtually if you choose to?

No, we do not offer Virtual Participation for the Los Angeles Marathon.

If I completed the 2022 Marathon virtually, when will I receive my athlete package?

We will start shipping medals and participant t-shirts by April 1, 2022. Please allow up to 4 weeks to receive yours.

Can I transfer my registration to a family member/friend?

No, per our no refund or deferral policy.
