What are your Challenge Medals?
We have three Challenge Medals:

How do you earn your Challenge medals?
You must complete the events for each Challenge medal in a season. For 2024 those events are:

Rose Bowl Half Marathon - January 21, 2024
Los Angeles Marathon presented by ASICS - March 17, 2024
Triple 5K Tour of LA

Where do you pick up your Challenge medal?
You will pick up the Conquer LA challenge medal in the secure zone after you finish the 2024 Los Angeles Marathon
You will pick up your Triple 5K Tour of LA challenge medal in the secure zone after you finish the 2024 LA Big 5K
You will pick up the LA Double Play challenge medal in the secure zone after you finish the 2024 Los Angeles Marathon
How do I register for the Challenge medals?
Be sure to register with the same name, email address, and birthdate for all medals. You can check your registration status for any event by logging into your Active account at myevents.active.com. If you see all the events listed there you’re all set, if you are missing an event and believe you are registered for the missing event please email us at Solutions@mccourtfoundation.org
Can I qualify for both the Triple 5K Tour of LA and Conquer LA Challenge medals?
Update as of 4/18/23 Yes, you can qualify for both the Triple 5K Tour of LA and Conquer LA Challenge in 2024 with some important items to distinguish SANTA MONICA CLASSIC You cannot complete both the Santa Monica Classic 5K and 10K at the race in person. To earn both Challenge Medals, you will need to pay for both bibs and only participate in the 10K distance. You will then complete the 5K at your own time. It is NOT virtual participation and we will NOT mail you your finisher medal. You will not receive a finisher time for the Santa Monica Classic 5K. ROSE BOWL HALF MARATHON & 5K You cannot complete both the Rose Bowl 5K and Half Marathon at the race in person. You will need to pay for both bibs and only participate in the Half Marathon distance (you must complete the half marathon). You will then complete the 5K at your own time. It is NOT virtual participation and we will not mail you your finisher medal. You will need to pick up your bib at bib pick up and pick up your finisher medal at the race.
How do I know if I am qualified for challenge medals?
Log into your active account at myevents.active.com and confirm what events you are registered for and completed. If you do not see the expected events in your account email solutions@mccourtfoundation.org.
Can I still participate in the Challenge medals?
Yes, registration for all 2023 - 2024 events included in all Challenge Medals are open for registration now!
Can the Santa Monica Classic 10K count to the Triple 5k?
No. To earn the Triple 5K Tour of LA you must complete the three 5K distances.
